Rejoice at all times. Pray without ceasing. Give thanks in every circumstance, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
Reflection
Rejoicing, praying, and giving thanks are joined together in Paul's instructions to the church. He does not say every circumstance is good or that grief is forbidden. He teaches believers to turn toward God in every circumstance. Seven days of deliberate gratitude can train your attention to notice His gifts and express appreciation to the people around you.
