Scripture
John replied, “Whoever has two tunics should share with him who has none, and whoever has food should do the same.”
Reflection
When people asked John the Baptist what repentance should look like, he told those with extra clothing or food to share with those in need. Genuine repentance bears visible fruit. You do not need wealth to practice generosity. A thoughtfully prepared extra item, given with dignity and without strings, can meet an ordinary need.
