Reflection
James tells believers to be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger. Listening is not agreement with everything another person says; it is a humble refusal to treat them as an interruption. Give someone enough space to finish their thought. Careful listening can reveal a need that a rushed response would have missed.
