Reflection
Proverbs values the person who rules their spirit above the person who conquers a city. Self-control is strength directed inward, not the absence of emotion. Ten seconds will not solve every conflict, but they may interrupt an impulsive response. Use that pause to pray, consider the truth, and speak in a way you will not regret.
