And let us consider how to spur one another on to love and good deeds. Let us not neglect meeting together, as some have made a habit, but let us encourage one another, and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
Reflection
Hebrews urges Christians to consider how to stir one another toward love and good works and not neglect meeting together. Encouragement is an active responsibility, not merely a pleasant feeling. Notice someone struggling to persevere in a worthwhile commitment. Offer a specific word of hope or practical help, and remind them they do not have to walk alone.
